Abigail's Lakeside Cottages

Really enjoying our stay here. Out the front your right next to all the excitement, out the back you've got your own little private Oasis right on the lake and there's even a spot to get in the water.

Had a wonderful time. The Area is quite beautiful. I did have a few complaints. The biggest being mention extra cleaning fees due to an upstairs trash can not being emptied. A bit excessive to me. I would also avoid sitting on the couches as apparently that is now allowed. The only issues I had were; anyone could walk off the street into the gate and yard meant doe the cottages. There would just be large groups of people walking through all night and taking the chairs to watch the view. Also they said the dumpster was behind cabin 4. It was not, we spent quite a bit of time looking for the dumpster and actually had to ask the construction workers that worked on the neighbors house. The final and most disappointing aspect, was the email we received after we had left. We had followed every rule and made a point to do several walk throughs before we left to .ake sure it was clean. However we received an email how they were disappointed at how we left it. There was a small water spill on the couch that my toddler accidentally dripped his sippy cup which they are claiming is urine stains. And then we had forgot to take the small upstairs trash from the bathroom. I do apologize it was a MISTAKE. Not one I expected to be emailed about. But somehow that turned into dirty diapers on the floor which was not the case. I do have pictures of the room in question where it was left clean. Very very offended that they would email mention extra fees due to small water spill on a couch and trash can in the bathroom not. being emptied.

Very nice and clean with convenient location. Nice court yard with great view of the lake.

Clean, well-kept cottages and grounds. Lakefront area is beautiful. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I have stayed here for years, and it is a wonderful location. The cottages are so cute and comfortable; not at all outdated. I stayed here before they were Abigail's, and they were certainly outdated then! Abigail has done a wonderful job of remodeling. The stamped concrete patio is ideal for relaxing and watching the beautiful lake. Restaurants, wineries, and entertainment are all within walking distance. If you are looking for a day trip, Bridge Street in Ashtabula has great restaurants and quaint shops.
