Jeff Mahler

Jeff Mahler is an outstanding real estate agent who has exceeded all of our expectations. We are a married couple with two daughters, and we recently had the pleasure of working with Jeff over the course of several months. We sought Jeff out because our situation felt complicated: we were attempting to relocate from the Washington, D.C. area to Columbus, while simultaneously buying our first home. We shouldn't have worried! From the very first phone call, Jeff put us at ease and assured us our plans were doable. Jeff worked with us to create a clear path forward, and he quickly gained our trust. Now that we've spent so much time with Jeff (both virtually and in person), we have come to admire many things about him. The following attributes stand out:nn(1) Jeff's knowledge. Simply put, Jeff is an expert in his field. A lifelong Columbus resident, Jeff knows the city and its surrounding suburbs inside and out. He can rattle off market statistics with ease, and he is a killer negotiator. (When we were ready to put in an offer on a property, Jeff provided excellent guidance and was impressively strategic; our offer was accepted immediately.) Jeff is also deeply familiar with the mechanicals of a home. (As we toured different properties, we were amazed by Jeff's knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. He also took great care to point out key aspects of important structures like basements and roofs.) As first-time home buyers, we had a lot to learn, and Jeff moved us through the process gently. He taught us many invaluable things (without ever being condescending), and the knowledge he imparted enabled us to make confident decisions.nn(2) Jeff's professionalism. Jeff's work ethic is incredible. He is responsive, efficient, and detail-oriented. Jeff was on top of every task, and we never once worried he would forget something or miss a deadline. Jeff was also there for us at every stage, accompanying us to multiple showings, to our inspection, and to our closing. We knew we could count on Jeff at every turn, and that eased so much of our stress!nn(3) Jeff's connections. Jeff has been in business for years, and he has established a vast, reliable network of industry professionals. Thus far, Jeff has personally referred us to local mortgage lenders, a handyman, a locksmith, a countertop business, and a flooring business, among others. (As transplants who don't yet know anyone in Columbus, we find these referrals immeasurably helpful!)nn(4) Jeff's personality. Jeff is fun! We were always happy to hear from Jeff because he has a relaxed, affable demeanor and a warm sense of humor that buoyed us through a challenging time. We peppered Jeff with endless questions, and he fielded each one with patience and kindness.nnWe're thrilled to share that we've just closed on a beautiful house in our wonderful new city, and we are poised to move in soon.
