My wife (Nancy) and I married this past year and decided to sell her condominium and make my house our home. We slowly began the process of pursuing a remodeling project but simultaneously Nancy kept her eye on the housing market. Before we finalized the remodeling plan she found a charming home nearby and so we enlisted the services of Leigh Merriman. Leigh directed us through the process of making a fair offer on the home (which was below the asking price), negotiating the owner’s responses, coordinating an inspection, determining the need for remedy of the inspector’s findings, and then closing on the deal. She made the process of finding and then purchasing our dream home easy! We received prompt responses to our questions making us feel as though we were her only clients (that is a skill few busy professionals possess). We are both delighted with the care and service we received and look forward to working with her and her team on selling our current home. Leigh did a tremendous job selling my condo! We initially listed pre-Covid and the transaction fell through shortly before closing. Covid slowed things down a bit so we took it off the market. At that time, I was not in a hurry to sell. We discussed best options to ensure a positive outcome. I had been thinking about remodeling the basement, and Leigh agreed, this would help to sell the property. Leigh also suggested having the condo professionally staged. I could not believe what a difference this made. The condo looked amazing! We listed it again, we got multiple offers within 2 days, and we closed out at $8600 over asking price, which was $31,000 more I paid just 18 months ago! Leigh made this process so easy and painless. Leigh was extremely responsive, answering questions and keeping me informed throughout the process. Making a profit was a bonus, after only living in the condo for such a short time. I highly recommend Leigh and the team at Merriman and Company!
