Ace is super convenient - you're probably going here because it's much closer than the big box home improvement stores. The trade-off is less selection, but for routine stuff they have almost everything you need and it's quick to shop and get back to your project.nnMy favorite thing is the bins in back - nearly any screw, bolt, nut, furniture parts, springs, etc are available. They also have a lot of great services like window screen making/repair.nnAside from selection the only other trade-off is pricing tends to be higher than the big boxes but not always...and not enough to make me want to drive further and deal with crowds.
Good little hardware store. I'll get my basic hardware items here.nnAdd on: I decided to support McLendon's over here. Customer service is a bit better and you can always find knowledgeable reps. I know ace hardware is a small store but it's drooped a bit in quality and customer service lately.
