Yonkers Police Department - Headquarters

I got to say this is the one police department I really respect because if you’re driving correctly and obeying street traffic they will not pull you over. They are respectful and courteous. They don’t hold grudges and just are more chill than let’s say Tuckahoe’s police department. Overall, I like Yonkers PD, they are not too shabby. Keep up the good work.

A great example of American law & order carried out to the service of All Americans. Protecting & Saving all life as a display how all PD should be. God bless them!

I had a terrible experience there. I am a college student traveling abroad so I had to get some paperwork at the Public Document Unit. They were no help at all. They gave me false information as well as A LOT OF attitude. I had to go to another town and they quickly resolved my issue. They also didn’t charge me for it ( which the Yonkers police station did). If it wasn’t for the Irvington Police station I would not be able to study abroad or obtain my visa. I’ve heard many complaints about Yonkers police and I think they all need to be retrained. I’m disappointed. They were beyond disrespectful.

No help at all or concern for the safety of the person that I was calling about also very rude

I was a victim of armed burglary and police helped me stay alive and unharmed. They found the attacker and were prompt and professional. They care and are there for us when it counts.
