New York City Police Department - 43rd Precinct

If I could give a zero I would. Absolutely no help, 2 expensive guitars were stolen from my apartment. They would not even come out or take my report. I managed to locate one of the guitars and when I visited the precinct they would not even write up a report. So they basically do not care about any crime, they told me to call my insurance company and were actually arguing with me. They did not offer any assistance. I was told to go the guitar and call 911, and maybe a patrol car would come out. Completely useless. No wonder no one respects them.

My wife called the Precint to report a car blocking our driveway all we needed a unit to come and give the car a ticket so we can have him towed away. The first called was at 1:50 this morning she was told they would send some one over soon 3 hours later nothing. I called after 9 tries they finally answer the officer asked me there not there yet? Duh! That’s why I’m calling, they never showed up but I almost got into a fight with the driver of the car when he showed up. I’m pretty sure they would’ve came then and probably arrested me for something they should’ve taken care off 4hours before. If they can’t help the public they work for why become a cop!!

You have to love how well we are protected. There's a group of men 15+ (none live here) that gather regularly in front of my building to smoke weed, drink and shoot dice ( gamble) forcing residents to have to use the side door. And no matter how many times we report it, nothing is done. Tonight was even better 2 of our finest less than half a block away (actually on the other side of the same building) leaning on a fence having a ball joking around while this is happening,

Worst police station ever. Attitude are by far disgusting and disrespectful

I really don’t know if the police officers is really working for public safety or not because there is lots of incident going on in Bronx. Specially in night it’s hard come home because there is lots of people thief who comes and robbed. Few days ago, two people stop my friend at night and they put a gun behind her and tell her to give everything. She was so scared that she don’t even look behind. That’s not one story if someone come and ask they will come to know lots of incidents like this. Few months ago they also robbed my father. Some people do police complains some don’t they don’t want to bother and just let the incident go. But my questions in why people has to go through this if they live in United States. safety begins from home. If the police department can’t even make the streets safe for public how come they will able to safe the country. I personally really appreciate what police department doing for us but still there is lots of things they need to know and understand public safety.
