City Tamale Inc

Loved the tamale taste very fresh and not to heavy. There is many varieties to choose from and the best part is that it's all gluten free. I really enjoyed my flor Jamaica juice as well. I would give it 3 stars because although the tamales were really good they did need a little more flavor. They also over charge you for toppings 50 cents and don't even give enough of it.

I visited City Tamale when I flew into NYC from Tennessee for a job interview in South Bronx through a snow storm back in January 2020. The way things worked out was that, right after having some delicious tamales at City Tamale, I got a call from the employer asking me if I can come in earlier for the interview, which I said yes. I had one of the most meaningful interviews with the employer and I ended up getting the job on the spot. Unfortunately, with pandemic and personal circumstances, I didn’t end up working with the employer but I made my big move to NYC regardless and I’m glad I took the big leap of faith. The delicious meal I had at City Tamale was one of the unexplainable things that led me to move to NYC and I’m thankful for that. I wish you guys are making it and staying safe. Best of luck and I hope to make it back there soon.

Delicious tamales, very authentic, just my like mom makes them - the ingredients are fresh and well prepared. It's worth the long trip into The Bronx.

This has to be the best burrito in the Bronx. Honestly was not expecting it to be this delicious. Made my day.
