Over the years, family and friends have used many realtors for buying and selling homes. None of them really stood out for being unique. When my wife and I started looking at homes, she thought we should get a realtor to help us. I was skeptical that this was really necessary. It’s easy to find homes for sale online, and we could save money by buying through Redfin. Nonetheless, I agreed to try a realtor. My wife’s sister had just purchased a home recommended RJ & Company. While they are based in Apple Valley and specialize in Twin Cities homes, they agreed to help us find a home an hour’s drive south. Our realtor was Kelly. She got to know us and asked what we wanted and didn’t want in a home.nnShe gave us advice that was really helpful when looking at homes. It would have been very easy for her to say “it just needs a little paint, want to make an offer?” and move on to the next buyer. She met with us several times to look at houses. When we found the house we ultimately bought, she helped us get an inspection and a contractor to assess the deck. When it came to negotiating, she fought really, really hard for us. I did not expect anyone to work that hard on our behalf.nnAfter the sale, our relationship with RJ & Co did not cease. We have remained very close not only with our realtor, Kelly, but Rochelle and Mallory. Rochelle and Kelly came to our house a year later to see our improvements and give us advice and prioritizing projects that would help improve the value of the house. Even though we bought the house two years ago, they have always promptly responded and helped us when we’ve had issues or questions. We still remain close friends even two years after buying the house. I would not expect this from another realtor. I’m now skeptical of using anyone but RJ & Co for buying and selling a home. We will definitely use them in the future and have already recommended them to our friends and family. I normally struggle to find time to write reviews and generally don’t do it. However, RJ & Co deserve credit and appreciation.
