Amazing museum! My party went on a fall day and there were no school tours or other large groups. It felt a odd being so quiet, but I quickly grew to like that. There are many detailed exhibits, plus a comfy theater with an informative movie about the immigrant experience on the range running on a loop. I appreciated the great amount of details in the exhibits and came away with an understanding of what drove people to endure the harsh conditions in a strange land, to make a better life for their families. Be sure to explore file cabinets and binders as there is all sort of detailed info beyond just what you see on the walls.

The MN Discovery Center has so much to offer! Wonderful exhibits on Minnesota's iron mining history, fun traveling exhibits, beautiful outdoor venue for food (the always tasty Rustic Pig), music, and mini golf, AND the trailhead to the spectacular Redhead Mountain Bike Park. What a gem to have right in Chisholm!
