I currently live near the UMN campus, and Refinery has very quickly become my go-to. Yes, it's in a super convenient location, but it's genuinely a great business. The staff is always so kind and fun to talk to... *Certain* types of waxes can be pretty awkward with the wrong person doing them, but I've never run into that here. I've seen a different lady every time, and each has been super kind, funny, and chatty, enough to keep my mind off of the pain of waxing! I also had a massage here once a few years ago, which was great. Prices are super fair and transparent (no surprise fees at checkout, like some places), the space itself is clean and comfortable, and it's just generally a good environment. Whether you're a student in the area or miles away looking for a new place, I definitely recommend Refinery!

Cannot say enough great things about Afton! I've been seeing her for over a year now and she is always very quick and efficient. Have loved getting to know her as well! Always very friendly and exceptional service.

Great spot for waxing. Super fast. Very good. Affordable. I have done my back there a number of times. Highly recommend this spot.
