I came here for the first time to get my first acrylic manicure, and I was super impressed! I never know where to go to get my nails done as I do not get them done often (and there are so many places to choose from in the Grand Rapids area). I know I will start coming to Sara's Nails from now on. Sara actually did my nails, and she did a great job. I showed her a photo of what I liked, and the result was even better than the picture. It only took 45 minutes as well. Also has to be the prettiest nail salon I've been in - super clean and bright. Very pleased with my festive holiday nails.

OVERCHARGED & taken advantage of.nI went to Sara’s Nails for the first time to treat my sister and I to manicures after a really difficult week. We chose the most basic/cheapest nail option: acrylic full set with polish $35. We explained exactly what we wanted, pointing to the price we were expecting to pay. Everything was good. Once the manicure was done we went to pay and they charged $100 total (WITHOUT THE TIP). When we questioned it, they listed several reasons for the additional costs, for example the “shape” of the nail.... it’s a basic “almond shape”.... (these were NOT told to us when we chose the initially planned price)!! The reasons did not make sense, but we felt trapped because we already had the manicures done and it was our first time in the shop. Come to find out, others we know have been overcharged here too! Very frustrating to be taken advantage of. Will not be returning.nnMy sister was also cut TWICE during her manicure.

Clean and friendly! Had a wonderful pedicure and went back two days after for a shellac manicure. Employees were professional and nice, however, my shellac manicure started peeling away and chipping only 5 days after receiving. At other places it usually lasts up to 2 weeks.

The absolute best place for mani/pedis. The pedicure massages are divine and their work is beautiful. I have never gotten such a perfect manicure or pedicure anywhere else in GR. The staff is so friendly and the building is super clean and organized, which really makes me feel like they take sanitation seriously. A bit more expensive than other places in GR, but well worth it. I’ll be happy to pay for such great service again!

I must say that I am utterly disappointed by my experience at Sara's Nails. I had an appointment at 3 and I was out the door by 3:15. That is not significant enough time to complete a quality manicure. I got my nails done with dip powder. There was no prep that went into the manicure such as cuticle care. There is a hair under one nail, one nail is messed up entirely, and about 5 of the nails have the top coat attached to my skin (which is both unattractive and uncomfortable). My nails are very bulky in some spots where there were clumps of the top coat that were then set onto my nails. I even had him fix one nail which only made it worse. I should not leave the nail salon needing to fix my nails myself. I will do my nails at home before I go back to Sara's Nails. What a waste of money!
