My kids loved listening to the actors who portrayed several different characters from the era during the gathering. This festival seemed really small. We went there on Sunday. I think if we would have gone on Saturday there would have been more actors and vendors there. Those who were there were extremely friendly. This is a great fund raiser for the forest preserce. My kids enjoyed attending an old fashioned school(if you have kid who writes sloppy take them here), grinding corn and making a wooden peg. We also toured the Mack house.
