I disagree as there is preferences in the department. I have only lived here for only two years and I have paid very close attention to every cop and unit out on the street and same with the code enforcement units. I can tell that depending the race you are, they will treat you differently, months ago a caucasian lady was drunk and hit a neighbor's vehicle, we called the cops, she was so drunk she put vehicle on neutral thinking she was getting away and when cops arrived, they never took lady out of the vehicle. Cops were calm talking her and asking to come out of the vehicle in such a nice way that if it was a Hispanic or black individual they would have broke the windows and drag that person out. Call it what you want, I lost respect for them.

I've been a resident of Evergreen Park for only 4 years,I have nothing but praise. I want to say a special thanks to Sgt. Salazar, my landlord call the police on me and told several lies but Sgt. I have lived in Evergreen Park since the year 2001. My four family members have lived in Evergreen Park since 1959. Evergreen Park Police are the best. I never once had any encounters with the Evergreen Park police. Follow the laws that are not just in place for the safety of everyone. Don't speed, don't run red lights, use your turn signal when changing lanes = merging or turning right or left. Make sure all your vehicle information is up to date and not expired and I can go on and on about people not obeying the law or not paying attention. I LOVE living in Evergreen Park, Illinois and the police department is just doing there normal job as every police department should do.

good officers, i was in one of the parks of the area and i seen a officer pull over every vehicle that ran the stop sign or when to fast, its good because theirs kids in the park or around the school, Great job EPPD

Great police department! They are all very fair and respectful. I appreciate their low tolerance for people speeding down 95th street. I have children that cross that 6 lane highway everyday and I definitely have a low tolerance as well for people speeding down the street.
