Extremely unprofessional, and don’t seem to know what they are talking about. Just like any other rehab institution, they get you in and do what they can to keep you in. All about the money, like most any other institution in this field.
Great place to work. Don Schofield is the bomb
I have recently moved to Troy fro the Tennessee Valley where all the local psychologists i saw were a joke. My dad really likes them for his depression and ocd. As for me their near universal biggotry via harsh generalized labeling is nothing more than cowardice under the excuse of being naives. Here the treatment is the opposite.
This so called doctor. After the first visit I was told I had to see the practitioner before I could have appt with the doctor. I have bad anxiety and I was told I had to see him for changes on my medicine. I also have a bad ankle awaiting surgery. But instead of changing my meds he told me I need therapy which I already do. Then told me to walk over a mile a day. Um hello I have a bad ankle...I waited weeks to see him. What a total waste of time.!!!!! He wouldn't even listen to me at all. He said I was fine. I don't know what to do now.
I travel out of town and pay more to see a real therapist now. The atmosphere is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I was misdiagnosed TWICE, and given medicine for something that wasn't even wrong with me. I left more suicidal than I was when I went in (thankfully I'm doing much better now). I know 4 other people who had similar experiences, and have stopped going to therapy there because of it. It is very obvious that the people running this place are more interested in making a dollar with vague and speedy diagnoses than actually taking the time to help the people who come to them.
