Golden Chick

We ate in the restaurant at the Wharton Tx location on Good Friday, and Debbie was the most hospitable staff person we’ve encountered in a long while. The food was plentiful, fresh and perfectly hot to enjoy right away. She ran through the numerous discounts that Golden Chick offers to customers. A real “customer comes first” attitude. Good job Debbie. I know we’ll be back soon.

First they were rude and didn’t take our order correctly and tried to charge us $27 for tenders and a sandwich which came out to $17. We had to correct them on that. Waited for our food and witnessed the most disgusting and disappointing thing ever. This brand new location just stole our money. Because we complained about the new worker Natalie dropping containers that sides of food go into, on to the floor and put it back to serve customers. She then loaded a side into one of the containers. We asked the manager for the money back. The managers name was Debbie and the nasty workers name is Natalie. The manager made it seem like it was okay because she was new. Natalies family was there and mad that we complained about her service and the fact she’s serving dirty food that’s been contaminated by the floor the containers were just on. So they took off their shirt and came running outside. To avoid all that we left before we could get our money back. This is a new location and they’re serving unsanitary food during a pandemic. It doesn’t matter if she’s new. Have some common sense. The manager Debbie refused to give us a refund until her district manager was supposed to come. We don’t live in this town and can’t wait here all night. Especially when Natalie’s family is there trying to fight you for her incompetence. We never got our money back and from reading the owners response to other customers complaints it doesn’t seem like this will be taken seriously. And of course no one was wearing masks.nnIt’s been two weeks and you guys said you’d be refunding the money. That has not happened. What is wrong with you people and doing what your supposed to do?

Stopped at Golden Chick in Wharton today. Debbie, TJ, Journey waited on my kids and I. Great experience, their a/c went out in the kitchen but that didn’t slow them down. They worked hard to serve us and the drive through while breaking a sweat and keeping a positive attitude. I’d highly recommend stopping here anytime. Thanks for the service!!

So glad to have finally tried this place out, I’m from California trying new places in town and so glad I stopped here. Debbie is an amazing worker and really helped me decide what to get and will definitely be coming back! 100/10 for that customer service!

I have to admit that when this location first opened, it had some growing pains with the service. I drive through after work and the service has improved greatly. The manager Debbie is trying to do a very good job which is really difficult in today's world since it is hard to find and keep employees that actually want to work. Keep up the good work Debbie.
