Ty is a hilarious, unique, fun-loving talented hairdresser/owner, but my favorite part is her. You’ll get so much out of being near her. I adore her! Just trust me and get your next cut here.

Ty is wonderful!!! She cut and foiled my hair just as I wanted!!! She was very in tune with all the latest styles. I Would definitely recommend her to anyone!!

Have you ever suddenly realized you wanted your hair done this instant and then called around to find someone? I did that on Friday and on Saturday I got a call from Julie at Nellie’s Thistle. What I noticed from the get go is she is the first stylist who ever asked me to send photos of my hair so she could start working on it before I even sat in her chair. She’d had a cancellation so a couple of hours later she met me at the door with a gracious smile and we got settled in. I wanted highlight foils around my face to help transition to white and needed to get rid of the red that my at home hair color always becomes. We started with the foils. Then came the cut, Julie cut it exactly how I wanted it and in the end I still wasn’t happy. So WE STARTED OVER! Ended up cutting maybe 6” off the back and we created an inverted bob that is so cute and chic! She was incredibly patient, kind and not without humor even at the 3 hour mark. Julie’s rates are a steal, cut and foils came to $110!!!! I am selling all of my Sally beauty home color and have found a new stylist, friend and as it turns out, neighbor.

I've been a client here now for probably three years. I used to be a chair hopper but I have found a happy home at Nellie's Thistle. I love this local salon and I love the owner Ty. I'm a curly girl and she really gets my hair. I always come out with a great style and color. They also have offer skin care and lash extensions.
