Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Shelbyville

The front desk clerk who checked us in Friday evening (red hair and incredibly friendly) was extremely pleasant and professional! The hotel was fully booked that evening and several parties were checking in to the hotel at the same time. She delivered exceptional customer service to everyone and took the time and consideration to ensure each party was happy and felt welcome at the hotel. Impressive! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I have to praise the management and staff here. I attended a business meeting at 7:00 AM on a morning when the temperature was 10 degrees and power was out in much of Shelbyville. People without power had filled up hotel to include patients from a local hospital. The hotel staff took care of everyone and my meeting came off without a hitch. This team really hustled to take care of their customers. I was impressed.

The entire staff was not wearing masks during our stay, which was in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic-----the front desk clerks, cleaning staff we saw going in and out of the rooms. We have stayed in hotels during this time which were following mask and cleaning protocols that made us very comfortable, so were shocked at the lack of regard here. Had we not arrived late and had other options we would have found another hotel. The breakfast area was extremely small and offered cold cereal and pastries. Overall the whole hotel needs a good updating.

We booked this room assuming there was a refrigerator included. My daughter has pku and her milk has to remain refrigerated. In order to get one you have to pay for a suite. I guess I'm behind on the times. Although, I do have to praise the staff for letting us cancel the room.

The staff I encountered when I stayed were very nice and helpful. The price is good the hotel and the room I stayed in was clean. I absolutely would stay here again.
