This museum is such a hidden gem. Very well put together with impressive and informative displays. I really liked how this museum showed a very rich history of the area. You can tell it was set up and is cared for by people who are passionate about the history of Nocona/Montague county. The outdoor area was fun to explore...that house full of things from the era was really cool. It was a really hot day and I will be back in cooler temps to explore more of the outside stuff. I spent some time chatting with the woman who was running it and she was super friendly. All in all, a great visit!
This is one of the best small-town museums I have ever been to. The amount of work the staff and volunteers have put into it is incredible. The technology they use rivals many big-city museums.
This museum was so full of creative information! The history it has to share was so amazing! The audio and video was also very entertaining and informative!!! The gift shop has so much to offer in the form of souvenirs! I look forward to returning next time going through town. Beautiful museum structure as well!
The museum was very informative about the early settlers in the area. The museum had many displays of old artifacts and items that gives visitors a view of what life was like in the early days of that city. One of the things you can walk through and view is an old pump house equipped with appliances and furniture that you would see from that era. There is also a gift shop to enjoy. The museum was clean and the lady at the desk was helpful.
The Enid Justin exhibit is excellent. Just seeing the exhibit is worth the trip.
