I have been here about 3 times now to get the Japanese hair straightening and I have also brought my sister in for same reason. Amy and Christine makes a great team. They are both very nice and know what they are doing. I have been to few other places before to get my hair straighten but the quality of the service has never been satisfactory. Amy's salon is great cause I have always gotten the result I needed and my hair is very hard to work with.

I did Japanese Straightening on December 3rd, 2014 before flying to Morocco, Africa. I remember both ladies of the salon said that it will hold forever, which I sincerely couldn't believe. After all this time, by now, the only wavy hair that I have is the newly grown. So yes, they were right!nnI did Keratin to my wavy hair so all looks even and I still have to do a second one to the same area to make it looks straight again! I wish if I had a SR-71 Blackbird jet to cross the Atlantic Ocean just to make it to Amy's... Anyhow, you'll get a straight, shiny, healthy hair here if you're planning to do a JS. I highly recommend².

I have been to Amy's Salon 4 time for Japanese Thermal Straightening and I am a fan. My hair is extremely thick and coarse/frizzy. This transforms my hair into baby soft, very flat smoothness. When people come in, I hear them counsel each person on what they want and what would be the appropriate treatment. I don't color my hair, so Japanese Straightening is good for me, also because I want almost no body to my thick hair so I can have it shorter. If your hair is colored or you still want some body then Brazilian Blowout or their Zerran treatment is recommended. Because one of the Brazilian Blowout products contains formaldehyde, they wear masks and perform that treatment in the backroom. The Japanese Thermal Straightening takes a long time and is very labor intensive, which explains its higher price, it is also more permanent (touch ups needed for regrowth). I have recommended Amy's to all my frizzy haired friends and Amy herself does a fabulous job of cutting hair. The salon isn't the fanciest, but this place has tons of experience straightening hair and knows their products and you end up with the beautiful hair that you wish you were born with. Without straightening it took me an hour to do my hair in the mornings, now it takes 5 minutes.

*JAPANESE STRAIGHTENING REVIEW*nnI've had unruly, thick, curly, frizzy hair forever. I spend at least 1.5 hours straightening my hair every day, and I was tired of it! I found out about Japanese Straightening and found nothing but good, positive results online. It sounded too good to be true. I had a Brazilian Blowout years ago, which did nothing spectacular for my hair type. I came upon Amy's Salon website, and figured I'd give it a shot. I scheduled a consultation, was given a breakdown of what would happen, the price, etc. Both ladies I spoke with were very nice and helpful.nnA week later, I came back to begin the 5 hour process of what would become a lifelong investment... I had the japanese straightening completed 3 weeks ago, and I am every satisfied with the results. No more wasting time blow-drying my hair or straightening it (unless I need to be somewhere quick after a shower!). My hair dries completely straight, and I now realize how stressed I was just thinking about the process of straightening my hair in the past. All of that stress is now gone! I have straight hair that will last up to 6 months! I already booked my next appointment in June to have it touched up for a fraction of the price.nnI can't vouch for any other services they provide, but the japanese straightening is 100% satisfaction. They've been doing it for over 10 years and take their time to make sure it's done correctly.

Amy is very nice and does magic with your hair,she also takes the time to teach you how to make your hair healthy.I would send friends and family!ily to have hair done there because I know they too would be just as happy as I with the service they get
