This was a great school besides all the fights that happened i just got out of this school a few months ago during covid, the teachers are very strict and we have problems in the classrooms with people starting fights i would say its kind of dangerous because of people who just wander on the schools property who don't even go there once someone who went to the school before they left came from the woods into the playground but the teachers didn't pay attention to any of it once during a fight one of my teachers got hurt and sometimes they would cry but hopefully during Covid they will get there school together and stop all this drama and these fights from happening.

Beware of this school. They lost my daughter on the bus 3 times in K5!!!! Then, this past Friday, they allowed her to tell the school she was a bus rider. Without a permission slip, she walked to get her brother, and get on a bus she had no permission to be on! I wish getting our children into a different school was a lot easier because I've been trying to remove her since K5, but charlotte's policy of how and where kids go to school is difficult. Definitely not our choice of school for sure.

This school has been a breath of sunshine compared to where my son was at before. I havent had no issues. The Staff at the front are so nice and caring. The teachers are simply amazing. We were treated so bad at Paw creek elementary and I thought my son was damaged from the experience. He is autistic. The love that the teachers and staff at this school healed my precious boy. He dont remember the horror we went through at the prior school and they provided counseling at the school to make sure he was ok. He loses his glasses all the time. The staff treat that issue like it is their child losing glasses. Even the Janitor. They walk with me around the school looking for his glasses. The teachers he have had Mrs. Queen, mrs. Stockton, and Mrs. Ratliff are amazing and so compassionate. The IEP meetings are not a world war but a peaceful gathering of professional caring people trying to figure out how to BEst service my son. They are all so patient and kind. Im telling you River Oaks is a village of support.
