Enfield Police Department

After arriving to this small town of Enfield, NC, I arrived to this Police Station which I thought can help me out in my time of need. I was directed and referred by family to go here and explain my current situation so they can help me get to the nearest bus station or train station which is in Rocky Mount, NC. After speaking with the Lieutenant on this day 31st of October, 2018, he informed me that there was no available officers to help. His reason was due to a rail fatality, and most of his officers was working on that.nnFurthermore, prior to me arriving at this Police Station, the Lieihad already spoken to my father, whom was once a police officer himself but in New Jersey. They in regards to me being stranded, and yet, the Lieutenant refused to assist in this dire time of need.nnThe reason I am leaving this rating is because I find it unbelievable that if a person from out of state with no means of transportation walks in your township asking for help and you refuse to do so. I find it difficult to understand that regardless of how show short staffed you may be for whatever apparent reason, there is no excuse why a Lieutenant out of all positions is turning down an opportunity to assist somebody not from the local area.nnAnything can happen to me out here walking alongside a dangerous and busy highway road, yet this person in a law enforcement position could not take the time out of the day to take me to at least the boarder of jurisdiction.nnIf I can leave ZERO stars I would. I am sure if I was a different shade of grey, assistance would come second nature.nnNone the less I appreciate the rejection from this Lieutenant. If anything was to happen to me, I am most certain he will still be short staffed and cant handle a simple situation like this one, none the less a situation where I may end up missing or dead somewhere without any traces of where I may be.nnThank you officer of the law. I hope you enjoy your day inside the building you are in protecting and overseeing what goes on in your township and the consideration of those citizens that you can not attend to due to your failure of not having enough coverage or volunteers or staff members.nnGodbless you, and I hope I never encounter this township of Enfield again and I will make sure to let my family, friends, and congregation as well as ant political parties I may be affiliated with to not compromise with this township in North Carolina.nnThe least he could have done was offer me a CUP of water before finalizing his actions and decisions.nnRegards,nn- Somebody who may not make it back home to their family.
