Village Nails

I REALLY want to give 5 stars, but there's no way I can after a recent visit. To share my positives first, it's a very clean place that's always neat and tidy compared to some of the places I've been to over the last year (some of which there are stools everywhere ready to trip clients, it's pretty obvious they were NOT disinfecting stations after a visit, etc). The staff is great! The owners are very kind, attentive, and patient. Their employee Irene did a fantastically thorough and clean job of my pedicure and manicure (of which she was very gentle after telling her what had happened previously that basically destroyed my nails).nnOnto the negative...The first time I came here the wife did the BEST job on shaping my nails into the claw points I've been wanting and she instantly won me over with that! However, the next time I went was very painful and reminded me to do my research on things I didn't know about. I HAD acrylic nails that I loved. I told her it was my first set that I had, had for about 6 months and wasn't sure if I should have them replaced (I booked the appointment to allot the time for this if it was necessary) and she said yes we could. She FORCED them off by forcing a fake nails between the acrylic and my real nail and it ripped off layers of my real nail. AGAIN, it was my FIRST set and I had no idea what to expect when taking them off. Come to find out this is NOT how it's suppose to go and in fact she should have done an acetone soak. I was very upset after finding this out from a few friends and now I have to wait 4 months before I can get acrylics again. If she didn't have the time (even though I called ahead and asked if I could come earlier to allot more time for a new set) she should've told me instead of taking the cheap way out.nnI very much enjoy this place and will continue to go back, however...if I ever need to get a new set of acrylics I WILL NOT allow her to touch my nails. I'll simply do it at home myself or find someone else to do it correctly.

They were amazing!! I’ve been looking for a good nail salon near Asheville for a long time. It’s family run and they are both so nice. I was really impressed with the time he took on my nails and toes making sure they came out perfect. My nails are still growing out beautifully and the salon itself was very cozy, clean, and no strong chemical smells. They have definitely earned a repeat customer!! :)

The folks at Village Nails were great as usual to me, and amazing to my 85 year old mother who got her nails done for the first time ever. Clean, careful, nice and good prices. A+

Great little place owned by a very sweet, young husband and wife. Sue did my gel manicure and did a wonderful job. I was only visiting from DC and I’m very particular about quality of products and services. I would highly recommend them!

These guys are the nicest most welcoming couple. They do a great job and the salon is always clean clean.
