A little muddy, but fun for us

I surprisingly large wild place within minutes of the huge city. A wonderful way to get out to nature without having to drive hours to do it if you live in the DC area. It'll be nice when the pandemic is over so that we can actually start enjoying some more of the amenities.

Image living in a city that has a massive park. Rock Creek Park, with its 1,700 acres, is more than twice the size of Central Park (at 843 acres). There is always a DC vs NY rivalry so I had to add that in. During the weekends roads are closed to cars so you can easily bike, hike, and walk through. During the warmer months definitely check your clothes for tics since the park has tons of deer and other wildlife.

Really cool hiking with many paths! I expected it to me more like a Central Park in D.C., but it is not like that at all! You're actually in the woods going up hills and following along a river. Really fun and moderate hike.

Rocks, creeks, grass, trees, air....good things to have in a big city.
