we are so fortunate here in district 4 to have the crew we have.. You hear horror stories about the police across the country, but not here in 4.nOur guys and gals are all responsive, polite, understanding.. and our new district addition, LT, Ormsby, is amazing (and also very handsome). While good at catching the bad guys, they always take time to get involved with the community they serve, even the chief. We are most fortunate to have Officer Katie Baird as our local community liaison, she is establishing a great relationship with our youth. Thank you all for being here for us.

Mary Lynn always acts like she is doing you a favor and is beyond unprofessional and rude. This police department does not like to write reports, keep update to date on current laws, officer Jiwoo Jang has a major ego problem, she pulled me over, was very condensing, I told her I have zero points on my license and she then me I told her I had never been pulled over and then told me with a major attitude that I offered up the info but she couldn’t even remember what I told her 5 minutes before hand. I got a PBJ in court. Problems with this station def come from the top. Worst police station I have EVER dealt with

As a property manager I rely on the police to help when my clients experience crime issues in their neighborhoods. I have found the 4th District's leadership and community outreach teams to be responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. I am grateful for their efforts to conduct greater outreach with homeowners and condominium associations and for their willingness to send officers to address homeowners at Board meetings. Thank you 4D for your excellent support to the community!

I was in an accident and called this local police number. I was told by “Mary Lynn” since no one had to go to the hospital that they would not send anyone. She said this in an extremely off putting way. The person who hit my car was a handicapped without legs who could not speak English. She told me to get his information myself but I could not communicate with him. I had no idea what to do and was hoping the local police could help. I was balling crying and Mary Lynn was so blatantly rude to me. I am still in utter disbelief that she would speak to me with such disregard. The person who hit me ended up fleeing the scene.nnUpdate on my original post: I visited the police station where everyone was kind but Mary Lynn. I was told by a very cordial officer that they are short staffed and he was apologetic. I guess if you do want help from the local police, I hope Mary Lynn doesn’t pick up the call :-(nnSecond Update: I was reached out to a few weeks later and offered a very sincere apology, and was explained the situation and given advice for future in the event I need to contact the police. This was an extremely kind gesture! If you need the police and have an unfortunate experience like myself, I would say try to reach out to either the non emergency or emergency numbers before calling the district station.

An abundance of police activity outside my door a few minutes ago freaking me out. Contacted the station and was respectfully and helpfully told the nature of the incident (traffic stop gone awry).nnI just want to say that the person(s) in the vehicle was not responding to multiple and repeated commands to exit the vehicle and from what I gauged, the officers did not overreact by opening fire unnecessarily. They were upset about having to break the window to get to the person but all went home with their lives.nnI appreciate 4th District for not overreacting and gunning down an unruly driver despite some tense moments. I was trying to figure out why the person wouldn’t exit the vehicle! Phew! It was tense for a minute. Anyway, seemed to be a job well done. They didn’t even wake my 10 year old.
