There is much to enjoy along this relatively flat, wide, paved path. The width of the path provides plenty of room for bicyclists to pass by which is a refreshing change from many other paths along creeks in Montgomery County’s otherwise exceptional system of trails.nnThe creek bed is nearly 100% quartz which is not only beautiful but is also the rock within which gold can form. I was told gold was successfully(and illegally) panned in Rock Creek close by. Perhaps Turkey Branch is the source of that gold. This simple knowledge makes combing the rocky beaches on Turkey Branch great fun.

A nice suburban trail good for kids to bike, strollers and roller blade, also dogs on a leash.. The GPS does not take you to the park designated parking but to a Connecticut Avenue entrance which is not convenient with kids since you need to park 10 mins away in the neighborhood and then make your way to the entrance. The picture I am posting of the 2 places I found on the park map for parking.

Great place for a walk or bike ride. Wish there were tunnels or bridges to cross the major roads.

Great food. Friendly staff. Spacious, comfortable dining area (not accessible during COVID).nnWould be nice if the front lawn was sacrificed for a cut-through to exit the drive-thru to the other side of the building (when waiting on a large order, wanting to reenter the drive-thru, or wanting to exit on Rhode Island Ave., instead of Route 1).
