I would give a zero if I could. This person came out for a plumbing issue with my shower as an independent contractor on behalf of a well known home warranty company. He found the source of the leak fairly quickly (around 20 minutes) and left to get a tool that he said he needed.nnHe billed me shortly after and never returned. Turns out the leak was not something that was covered by my warranty (which I understand now), but he reported none of that to myself or the warranty company during his initial report. He simply told the company that the damage was not due to normal wear and tear and was not to be covered. After a call with both the home warranty company and the contractor, it turns out he did damage to the shower but since the part that was initially damaged and needed repairing (that he subsequently removed) wasn't covered, they weren't liable and I'd have to take him to court over it.nnThe damage was minor; I've since fixed the issue myself. I thought it was covered under the warranty and felt I was doing the right thing by setting up a service call. My whole issue with this gentleman is he could have told me exactly what was wrong from the get go, instead of ghosting me. I had to file a complaint with the warranty company to get him on the phone. He offered no service report, no follow-up, no approval of the work that was being done, and no initial details as to why the work he was doing was denied. This was the least professional experience with any plumber I've had in my life.
