REPOST: I got two very unreasonable moving violation tickets right as I pulled out of a parking lot. (Putting on my seat belt in motion and forgetting to turn my lights on.) Cop was a real ass and demanded he search the vehicle. Had a black passenger, which is why he probably wanted to search. I asserted my rights, he got pissed, called back up and took 30 minutes to write me my 'tickets'. I left without my car being improperly searched. Raised my insurance rates and I'm still pissed about it. I see these same people speeding without lights on at night, parking in handicap spots, and hassling people in Floyd County in general. I have a lot of family up there in Rome, but I'm actively getting them to leave. That place has a good ole boy government and law enforcement, so ain't nobody safe up there. Only solace is knowing that they shot themselves in the foot on this one: I will never bring business or my investments to that area for any reason. NEVER.
