I complained about a DCJS licensee many months ago and the issue is still not resolved. First, it seemed as though literally nothing was done for months. Then when action finally was taken, the PI firm under investigation successfully deceived the investigator assigned to the case. The state investigator, after first being deceived by the company, then proceeded to help them get their license back. It was like sending a six year old kid out to capture a savvy felon. The kid just ended up smiling and giving the felon candy. This team does not currently have the capacity to adequately investigate complaints and provide oversight for the private security services industry in the state. Virginia needs to strengthen its licensing and oversight apparatus. Right now, with its liberal licensing policies and limited investigative resources, the DCJS is enabling criminal behavior.

It’s said this is the only place to get licenses for in the state of VA. Out of all the times I called this place I only a answer once and it was back in 2018, least to say this place is terrible and not needed there are other companies that can do this job with ease.

Let me explain how to get 5 star service here.nn1. Use the new online registration system if possible. This will accelerate the process.nn2. If that's not possible or you are experiencing an issue then...nn3. Take a trip to Richmond and see them in person.nn4. Park two blocks down the hill on Bank St. It's only $1.25/hour.nn5. Walk your lazy ass two blocks up the hill.nn6. Go to 9th floor.nn7. Ask for Loretta Lynch.nn8. Explain your issue.nn9. Loretta will get it done. She is the only one there that gets it done.nn10. Leave satisfied.
