Well organized and clean. Staff is super friendly. Animals seem to be well cared for. We did not find a fur baby for us but I will definitely keep checking the website.

This place is AMAZING!! If you love animals, then this place is for you. Whether you're looking to adopt, want to foster to help out, or volunteer at the shelter you will grow to love this place, the pets, and the people. My husband and I adopted our 2 fur babies ud83dudc08ud83dudc08‍⬛ here for $75 each after fostering them for several weeks through the shelter foster program (something I highly recommend to all who have the means to foster!!). The staff are sweet, helpful, and great to work with. The adoption process is both efficient and inexpensive. The staff here is very friendly every time I have been. They answer all my questions and the service is quick and efficient even on busiest days. I also appreciate that they always answer a phone call or have a quick reply to voice-mail.

My dog is in need of bladder stone surgery. I did pricing for this at our local vet and the low cost vet in Richmond. I had no idea what the cost would be at the Norfolk SPCA but I was told it is a low cost facility also. Upon checking in for our initial appointment, we were warmly greeted and placed in a room. After my dog was examined, the quote for surgery was given. I was beyond pleased! The price wasnconsiderably lower than Richmond and the travel time is minimal. Our surgery has not been scheduled yet but I anticipate a date within the next few weeks. This review is based on the initial appointment and affordability of services.

Staff is very friendly and informative. The kennels were clean and the staff took every precaution for safety. Loved paying with the dogs and getting to know them. We found one that we wanted to adopt and are waiting to hear back. I hope that we can adopt him!
