Hampton Police Department

the Hampton police department is great. every time when i wasn't doing to good they helped me. i love them so much. i always wanted to be a Hampton police officer when i grow up. and they are helping me get to that point. they may not be the best even though they are to me but they still do their job the best. i have a best friend that is a Hampton police officer. i know 13 police officers that i am closed to. that picture is my police officer best friend that works well worked for the Hampton police department until she moved for a job performance.

I would like to locate the correct process to submit an accolade on an officer (Vernon Gomes). He located and completed a check on our vehicle that's been out of our possession since September 2019. We had no idea what condition it was in. He answered the dispatch call and swiftly responded to us by phone. Thanks for your professionalism.

Thoroughly enjoy getting arrested by these guys. Extremely professional, gentle with the handcuffs, plenty of space in the back of the car, and gave me my own bin to organize all of my belongings at intake. I look forward to the next time I’m arrested by you guys.

Getting one star since 0 isn’t an option. Very very very few good officers that just can’t make up for the incompetence, inconsistent, unprofessional and just flat out rudeness of the majority of the department. Got into a finder binder a little over a month ago, the officer that came out got half or more on his official report wrong. After 7-8 attempts to contact him with no response had to go to his Sargent just to get a call back. Was told he would look into it and call back ( still waiting on that return call 3 weeks later). Have had a couple other officers take a look at the report and have agreed that there were problems with it but there was nothing they could do about it. Other drivers insurance company has already made their decision based off a report that is incorrect. Now I’ve been told that the only way I’m going to get anywhere higher up the chain to get the problems with the report rectified is to take time off of work, go to headquarters and file complaint forms. Have to repeatedly lose income in order to hopefully finally get to some one that say yes it’s wrong and you need to fix it. Then probably going to have to hire an attorney to deal with the insurance company. Complete bs to have to spend so much time and money to get such a simple thing corrected just because the officer won’t admit he messed up and fix the problem. Feel sorry for the good officers that have to work along side the numerous clowns the department has on the payroll.
