I come out here almost daily with my housemate to walk the dog and ourselves. There's a stunning variety of pathways, from fully paved roads, to crushed gravel, fields and grass ways, wooden walkways, bridges, dirt and moss paths. Really a little bit of every kind of walk you could want.nnThe maintenance out here is top notch. We see workers from time to time, and they're always friendly and respectful of social distancing.nnI've not gone fishing in the lake, but I see folk there regularly and they seem to be having a nice time. The docks and new crushed gravel paths around the lake look fantastic.nnRecently they've begun to install a series of ADA benches along one of the main pathways to the lake, and I'm thrilled to see it. Accessibility is important! Between this and an accessible hunting blind I found, it's nice to see the efforts being made.nnI'd highly recommend it here! Bring your dog, just be aware there's some berry thorns throughout.
I have been making a habit of going to E.E. Wilson Pond and have been getting lucky with some of my last visits being right after they stock it with trout! I will include photos of my catch for yesterday. Management has also recently redone the pond with rocking around the edges and the installation of some docks (I would recommend fishing off the docks as they are a hot commodity for getting some bigger fish).
I pulled over to turn around while test driving the truck after my son made some modifications. It was a magical experience. Highly recommended...
Use to be a great place to go hunting, but they don’t allow seasonal hunting there anymore sadly, still a very nice place to go hiking or fishing, sadly though there is a bit of trash on the sides of trails so if you do go, please pick up your trash so the wildlife doesn’t have to live in it. Still one of my favorite places though
Drove by hear fishing good after you walk in fish and wildlife training facility on sites cool too
