Linn County Historical Museum

I love this place. Even though it's temporarily closed due to the pandemic it's still interesting to walk around the outside and adjacent park. Great for taking photos.

Very cool museum! A must visit!

Saw this museum advertised as we were driving down the highway and we decided to stop. It was a fun break from our drive and was worth stopping for! You could spend all day learning about all the great stuff in there.

This was a worthwhile experience. They have extensive displays of pioneer living, including a covered wagon. As I had a relative in the area in 1880, the many genealogy records right in the museum were helpful in locating where my kin might have farmed. The staff was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. This has got to be the most amazing museum I have ever seen. It is chock full of stuff to look at and interesting stories to read. I will be back again and again to absorb all of it. It us well laid out, it's like walking down the street peeking into the store windows. I especialy liked reading the stories of the people who passed through on the Oregon trail. And... it's free! Although I did make a donation, it was well earned. I loved it!
