This is a great school with a fabulous group of educators. They care about the kids and work hard to make sure they are learning not just the basics but the science and art. This is a great school and the after school program is a huge added benefit!

It's a great school that is the hidden gem in the SUSD system , the student to teacher ratio is great . They allow and foster a lot of student independence. And foster kids to be responsible for themselves and their education .nThey incorporate outside the box thinking allowing your children to experience aspects of learning that foster things like environmentalism and conservation of the Calaveras river that runs near the school . Things like The day in the Dirt run that foster athleticism. There is a gardening program that allows the kids to grow plants .nThey take lots of field trips that they then incorporate them into the classroom work .nI have 3 children and many family meme era that attend this school .

I send my son here and my daughter is in the Preschool Buddy program with Little Waltons. We love it! I chose this school after being a substitute teacher in Stockton Unified. I subbed eighth grade P.E. ,which I would never do at any other SUSD school, but I had heard good things about Khol. Two of the eighth grade boys were competitive and started to argue during a basketball game some other boys stepped in to mediate and within minutes the two boys had explained their feelings shook hands and started to play ball again. I never had to step in or call for help. I watched the eighth graders interact with maturity and childlike innocents. I thought if this is the fruit after elementary at Khol School than they are doing something right. These kids are guided to be leaders, self starters, critical thinkers and problem solvers. The school isn't all about passing tests its about really learning to enjoy learning.
