There isn't any kind of HVAC for the waiting room, so whatever the temperature is outside is the temperature inside. Extreme heat and cold in here.
Worst customer service, the bridge walkway never gets de-iced. My husband fell all the way from the top because it was slipper and what do they do? Apologize for the inconvenience. If you are paying over $300 for a train ticket at least have a safer walkway. Horrible.
Much easier to park in Greenlawn and take the train in to Huntington then to try to find parking in Huntington. The station is quiet, but it is slightly hidden behind the bank. The waiting room is only open weekdays and I am currently having to wait in the snow for this train. The parking lot and walkways are all ice/snow free.
It's worth noting that pretty much all trains use track A, the one closest to the waiting room.
