They call themselves the police, but don't know the rule of law. They look like the police too, however, they need to have black ski masks over their faces instead of shiny stars on their chests. That way their uniforms would better reflect their professionalism and performance.

I moved to this town not too long ago, and these guys have been well responsive when called. A little slow and turned around at times though. Could use an audit too.nHowever, there is no excuse for the amount they are getting paid in ratio to the level and types of crime around.nAgain, I haven't been here long and know about things in town they either don't do anything about or are too ignorant to care.nThey don't seem to like people trying to help, so don't expect any appreciation.

Albeit my unceasing efforts , I attempted to utilize a accurate and true rating of Hoquiam P.D. based upon empirical witness, and afford it a neg. 1 rating, I was unsuccessful..A repeat performance of cursive and unprofessional behavior by officer Salstrom was performed yet a second time and chief Meyers seems to obviously be entirely too busy to met out justice to officers as Salstrom who bring poor ratings to their tiny dept.Obvious ly,he slept when the academy instructor delivered a lesson on diplomacy, being professionally cordial and realizing that when you wear the badge of honor,it demands patience,tact and the ability to serve and not swear to garner respect from others. Detectives learn early on that proper decorum assures returned respect and gaining of cooperation from witnesses and the public. He tried to assess sobriety and his effort(s) precluded an eye examination, slurred speech, unsteadiness on feet,and other tests we performed in Calif.He/the four officers present wasted my time and theirs seeing that their foolish and needless actions were merit-lacking and disreputable to the umpteenth degree.bringing discredit to the appointing authority. My condolences to the citizens of Hoquiam and chief Meyers who chooses to sit on his hands for fear of committing work product....
