Today I stopped at BP as I usually do to fill up my quad axle dump truck. They have the best gas and diesel prices in town probably in this whole country but one thing really stuck out and I will always come to this gas station with my company getting gas and diesel from here moving forward because of the one person named Scott I came here today on March 25, 2021 I had around 4:45 PM Scott went the extra mile he had a smile on his face he enjoyed his job he was polite he even try to bring me out my receipt so I didn’t have to walk all the way back in the store. Scott is an amazing person and BP is definitely lucky to have him and I hope that this gets back to him as I will never forget Scott from today moving forward and I will never forget BP and always make this my primary source of fueling and convenient groceries thank you very much to BP for hiring such an amazing man!
Watch how much you pay at the register for things inside. They advertise one price and ring things up at a higher price. It happens about everytime I go in there and with several different items.
I recently went to the BP located at 9645 IDA ST, OMAHA, Nebraska 68122 and narrowly avoid disaster because the diesel and gasoline pumps have the handle colors reversed! Staff inside are well aware of the mixup, but are unwilling to take any action to remedy the issue. They did indicate that they had received a lot of negative feedback about this issue,nnBelow is an article from Car Talk that describes what happens when the wrong fuel is dispensed at the pump:nnWhen diesel fuel does end up in a gasoline tank, the car will run for a few miles or so, until all the gasoline that's still in the fuel line gets used up. At that point, the engine will shut down -- boom.nnGasoline engines cannot combust diesel fuel, so the car would stop running.nnOnce that happens, it has to be towed to a shop, and the fuel system needs to be drained. We start by emptying the gas tank. Then -- assuming the car has been driven since the errant refueling -- we get all of the diesel fuel out of the fuel lines, the fuel rail and the injectors.nnWe'll usually remove the injectors and run them outside of the car so they just squirt out a bunch of the diesel fuel. Sometimes that doesn't work, and we have to take things apart, and, well, it can be a real mess. But it's doable. And normally, no permanent damage is done to the injectors, the seals or anything else. And because the car won't actually run on diesel fuel, there's little risk of damaging the catalytic converter.nnBut it's a costly and time-consuming process, as I'm sure you now know, Carolina! Depending on the car, it can cost $500 to $1,000.nnAccidentally putting gasoline in your diesel tank can be even more harmful, depending on how much gasoline you've added. I mean, if you had an empty 20-gallon tank, and you caught your mistake when you'd put in only a gallon, you might be all right if you filled the rest of the tank with diesel. But if it's more than that, you could create serious problems.nnAside from being the fuel, diesel also is a lubricant. So running a diesel engine on gasoline starves the fuel-injector pump of lubrication.nnAnd because of their different combustion properties, the gasoline detonates too early in a high-compression diesel engine and causes all kinds of damaging knocking and misfiring. So not only would you have to drain the tank, in that case, but you might need to replace other parts as well.
Good gas station... Always quickly update the gas prices.. Crowded most of the time but fast service inside and working pumps too
Cheapest diesel I've found in a long long time $2.44 per gallon the last time I was there.
