Oakridge Lower Elementary

Sent my KINDERGARTENER home claiming he had fever over 100 checked at home..98.5. my child says he isn't sick just didn't want to eat what was for lunch, they call me saying he has fever. He was not sick did not have fever. KIDS SAY YHEY DONY FEEL GOOD if they don't wanna do something. This doesn't mean they are sick. The school has lunch before kids get to go out for recess. So your child can have a full bully of milk while running and playing. Wonder if he will get sick? School doesnt ensure KINDERGARTENER eats lunch and then allows them to go outside and play and get sick then they call wanting you to pick him up? When I called to talk to principal and ask how you go to school without fever then all of a sudden right when it's time to eat you are sick and hav fever over 100, but when I bring child back home within the same hour his temperature is at 98.5...the principal says IDK I'm not a doctor, or idk what thermometer you are using, it could be different from ours. They did not make sure my son had ate lunch and then let him go outside to play and he vomits? Hmmm wonder if it was because of the empty stomach...school calls and says I have to pick him up but child is 100% healthy when I get there. The policy of having lunch right before recess is the dumbest idea ever, these are KIDS ., YOU OFFER FOOD OR PLAY TIME?!?! No wonder they get sick?!?! I question if staff can not use enough common sense to figure out this small of problems, then how can you educate any child!?!?! Serious discussion coming at next parent/teacher meeting and directors metting. The lack of respect and communication is ridiculously out of line

Very friendly and patient teachers. My son loves going to school and always talks about Mrs Doriot.

The teachers and staff are amazing!!
