Absolutely gorgeous well preserved building. Scott the building manager is amazing at talking about history of building.
Historically important building in Rockford. Nice display of veteran memorabilia. There is a auditorium with balcony used for performances and other civic events.
Love it, best-kept secret for Veterans, family and the surrounding communities. Lots of Armed Services history, there is so much more. Visit the Arts too in April, see local Veterans Art that incorporates their Character...Come see, do not take my word for it.
I'm a musician, and I was hired to play a banquet here.nnPros: Good size venue, the staff was very friendly, and I LOVED that it seemed to be at least 100 years old, and true to era, yet well kept.nnCons: The banquet hall is up a flight of stairs, and there's no freight elevator, just stairs and a regular elevator shared with the public.nnAll things considered if I was hired to play there again I would look forward to coming back.
I had no idea this was even here! What an awesome tribute to our soldiers past, present and future!
