The food is good and the place is nice but its not as savory as the hype built it up to be
Myra was amazing handling an issue for us. My husband is a diabetic and always asks for an extra large water and most of the employees do not give him an extra large water. We even offer to pay for it. On this particular day we were treated so poorly and Myra over hear the conversation and she went above and beyond to fix the issue. What an excellent employee. I can't begin to tell you just how professional she handled everything. If this was my business, this is what kind of employee I would want to have. Myra well done and THANK YOU for being YOU!!!!!
Disappointment to the chain.nnDec. 2020 update: just go to Chicago and the suburbs for Portillo’s. This place only filled half the bread with meat, the cheese covered about 1/3 of the Italian beef. They didn’t even dip it as a instructed, and they didn’t cut it in half as instructed.nn——nnI’ve been to the Chicagoland locations before coming to Rockford. So happy there’s finally a location here! I’m not the biggest fan of the other chain restaurants. BUT the portions in the Italian Beefs recently changed.nnI’ll still return, but with a little resentment.nnWe’ve been able to redeem the chocolate cake for birthdays, so remember to sign up for the birthday club. :)
