Nails Now

I am truly shocked that Nails Now is still in business. 5 minutes past my appointment time, I received a call from a member of their staff who proceeded to verbally berate me and my character over voicemail for over a minute and a half. Unbeknownst to them, I had just dealt with a family emergency which caused me to be delayed. Before this hateful voicemail, I had every intention of calling and apologizing, and even leaving a large tip when I re-scheduled my appointment! Instead, I was left stunned. To summarize, the voicemail went on to tell me that my appointment would be cancelled due to my tardiness and that I should be “ashamed of myself” for how “inconsiderate” I am. It then went on to say, that nail technicians depend on their customers showing up and that I am incredibly “disrespectful” to not even call them before being late. This led into her saying that these people have families and clearly, I don’t care about these peoples’ lives. I was told that I would be black-listed from their salon and unable to return unless I paid for my appointment that I missed which is $45 (which by the way is ten dollars more than she had quoted me yesterday). I put down my phone and was truly in shock. Having just dealt with a family matter, the last thing I needed was a nail salon calling me to tell me how horrible of a human I am. I called back hoping to speak to the same person (who was rude to me when I scheduled the appointment to begin with, but I let it go giving her the benefit of the doubt—everyone has bad days). A man answered the phone and I went on to say that I just received a horrible voicemail from one of his colleagues and I am deeply disappointed in how their treat their customers. I let him know what happened and explained that I was planning on calling to apologize/reschedule but I never got that chance. He cut me off and said, “your personal issues are not our problem.” Now I was angry. Not only did you verbally assault me in a nasty voicemail, you then went on to say that you don’t care what is going on in my life and you stand by what your other co-worker said to me because you agree that my 5 MINUTES of tardiness earned me that level of disrespect. I have worked in the service industry for over 10 years. I currently work as a healthcare worker and have been on the front-lines this entire pandemic. With everything going on in this crazy world, it is INCREDIBLY DISHEARTENING that a salon could be so careless about someone else’s life. Here they were accusing me of being heartless and uncaring of my nail tech (who, by the way could still see another client because I only took up 5 minutes of their time), but you are flat out saying to me that my life is not your problem.nThe bottom line is, you never know what someone else is going through, and a bit of kindness should be granted because no one is perfect (and I even said this to the man who responded with “again, not our problem”). The saddest part about all of this is that they were so comfortable with how they were speaking to me, that clearly this is how they speak to everyone. We all make mistakes and are human, but if you cannot even give me 5 minutes of wiggle room to a NAIL appointment you are truly in the wrong industry.nNails Now, I hope that you learn how to treat people with kindness. Life is hard enough, and no one deserves to be treated this way. I made the choice to take care of my family instead of being on time to my nail appointment, if you can’t understand that, then we were never going to be a good fit.

Hands down the best nail salon there is. I’ve been to many nail salons from Chicago to the northwest suburbs and this one beats them all. Owners are fantastic - so sweet and accommodating. They’ll do anything to make you feel comfortable. I took my mom here last weekend and let me tell you, she won’t stop raving about it. The owner noticed she was a bit bothered by the strong smell (she’s sensitive) and he immediately turned the fan on. The service is also incredible - they take their time and are very friendly. Looking forward to making this our new go-to. Thanks, everyone! - Samantha and mom!!

Nails now was very clean and relaxing. I got a great leg massage and some much needed relaxation. Thank you!!

The ladies working there do a good job and the salon is very clean however the lady who books appointments is very militant and speaks as though you are doing her a favor. I’m from New York City so I have a high tolerance for rude/“keep it moving” customer service but WOW! The man who picks up the phone is professional but it’s very hit or miss. NOT worth it. Lots of great salons around with a relaxed atmosphere.

If you miss getting your nails done, but you're not sure if it's safe, check out this salon. The owners have gone above-and-beyond to keep their clients safe. Their shop is always spotless and sanitized, and also beautiful. In my experience, their service is excellent. I usually make an appointment, and I have never been kept waiting. I appreciate the fact that they respect my time. I have been going to Hai for many years. No one has ever done a better job on my nails, and I've received many compliments on how beautiful my nails look!
