Morgan was fun and did a great job cutting and coloring my hair. I will definitely go back.
I just to House of Blonde for a place to go back to being blonde without the brassiness of typical Asian hair. House of Blonde took the time to listen to what I wanted and did an incredible job with my black Asian hair to beautiful House of Blonde.
Since my 50th birthday is at the end of the month, and I really wanted to get my hair color fixed and lightened, and this would of been my first time there... you think they would of given me something off. Yeah my hair color needed to be corrected but Plus I at least tip good. Financially the last 3 1/2 years have been hell for me. But paying what they quoted (I am not sure if it was $350 or $450) was way too high, With my husband laid off for a while right before Christmas, and I have worked so much from Thanksgiving to New Year’s, so I could give my 3 teenagers a great Christmas and that I wanted to treat myself to make me feel better for my birthday. My hair color wasn’t so bad... I have been using Olaplex no 0, 3, 4 and 6, for a while. My hair is in decent condition. And even adding some highlights to make it brighter was a big no to her. She only suggested going darker, which from experience would just fade within a month and look aweful. So they lost a customer... you can charge an arm and a leg for something and never have the customer return or give them a little discount so they keep on coming. A lot of beauty salons would appreciate the business with the pandemic. They don’t even carry any brands that I use besides Olaplex and I can buy that from Olaplex.com or Sephora. The drive was so far that I wasted my gas. So since my old hairdresser, that I have been going to for 25 years, knows my hair, knows how long my roots take to process, also they use Olaplex. Is only 10 minutes away, is bigger and is just as fancy and upscale looking. I know she won’t overcharge me, she has fixed my hair when it was worse then this, they use the same hair toner products, I know for a fact she wouldn’t charge me over $350. Especially over the years, when I had money I tipped her really good. So I am getting a quote from her... and well at least she can give me more choices besides dying darker. The only good thing about this place is the salon owner is nice. But nobody tried to call me back, not even another hairdresser that actually wanted to make money, even if it wasn’t that much which they quoted me. At least they would be making money, instead of waiting for a customer. This place doesn’t realize that a lot of people lost their jobs during the pandemic. As for me, I risked myself as an essential worker and people would say... at least you have a job. At least from the back my hair color doesn’t look that bad unless it’s up. I can live with it if I can’t get it fixed.
I got hair extensions done here the other day by a stylist in training. I must note here that the price was discounted because she was practicing. I got home and wasn't happy with the way it blended so I called and asked to get an appointment with a more experienced stylist and was told that the owner, Sharon would fix it. She was so apologetic and spent over 3 hours making it perfect! She even toned it, styled it and added more extensions for my thinning hair around my face. She was eager, answered all my questions and made suggestions on how I could improve my hair. I went to pay and there was no charge! I tipped of course but this shows how Sharon and Carlos run an honest business that attracts so many people. This is a 5 star salon with 5 star service! A++++
I have been seeing my stylist Kristal here for years. Went in a couple weeks ago for my first visit since they reopened and their safety protocols are great. I felt very comfortable there while wearing a mask and getting my haircut and toner refresh. Happy to return again soon.
