Least transparent agency in the state. No body cams, 100% encrypted radios, no citizen accountability. VPD controls all information released if/when they decide the community should be notified. This agency lacks positive leadership and community oriented policing. Way behind-the-times.

This department is more community oriented than others agencies I'm familiar with. They seem to lack aggressive enforcement and, perhaps, this is the reason why.

Didn't provide the search warrant when asked and decided to ignore the question and never showed it until afterwards

My car was stolen. Within 4 hours the police had found my vehicle and had the suspect in custody. Damn good work. I know this is a case where I was very lucky but they did their job fast and effectively. Can't express enough gratitude to them.
