The Sunshine car wash on Playground road is TERRIBLE. Multiple times I have selected & been charged for a specific wash but it gives the next one down. Once I got stuck in the wash because the brushes were going nearly 5 minutes in the same spot. I had to back out & the emergency stop kicked in. Then today it did the first step & that is all. Everything stopped dead. I waited & nothing. I yelled to the person in the car behind me to warn her but it was too late she had already paid. Sure enough when she pulled forward it did nothing. The way I see it Sunshine owes me close to $50 at this point. Whoever is responsible for testing & maintenance needs to be fired.
Paid for a wash and the wash started but the stopped after it soaped up my car. I sat there for 5 minutes and nothing happened, so I left with a soapy car that I paid another carwash to finish the job. Horrible, 0/10, would not recommend.
It was quick and convient, but the vacuum doesn't have great suction at all. The time limit for $1.50 was a fair price I think, but the suction has to be checked
I've gone to this automated washing machine a few times over the past year. I've never had a problem with the machine. You do have to make sure you are lined up evenly between the two sides. But I will continue to go there when my car needs cleaning.
Sunshine Carwash in West Ashley is one of my favorite carwash location in the Charleston area. They really have what it takes to make sure your car gets clean as I am always impressed with my car after it is completed. You get a good service for the value here and it is always nice to have a clean car.
