This museum might need an update but it was still very educational and I appreciated the obvious time that went into it. It was cool to see where some of my family came from. The gift shop was well thought out as also. Great place. We really enjoyed it.

We went on vacation to Tennessee and decided to take a little drive over to Cherokee and we kinda stumbled upon the museum but I have to say that we absolutely loved it!!! The artifacts and the displays and all the information about each and every single one. It was so very clean and neat and very informative. They have an excellent gift shop as well. We also saw that there was a village nearby, one that shows what a day in the life of the Cherokee was like but unfortunately it is closed til May but next time we return we’re definitely gonna check it out.

Very informative history of American Indians especially Cherokee. Recommend for real truth seeker of history in United States. Also, recommend to have audio tour. It helps to learn the history in depth. It is worthy place to visit and learn if you are coming for Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

This place was great. Learned so much. But what capped it off was a gentleman sitting in the room full of masks. Had a long talk about the origin of the Cherokee tribe and his history. Very heartfelt and lovely conversation. He made the whole experience amazing.

This was my favorite part of our whole trip! The gentleman we spoke to (who is a member of The Warriors of Anikituhwa Cherokee) really made the trip for us. Just listening and learning from his perspective was amazing. Will absolutely come here again.
