I was pleasantly surprised when they could squeeze myself and my partner in for massages at the last minute. I received a deep tissue massage from Christian, and she was excellent. She had no problem identifying my problem areas and suggesting helpful tips for me. I work a lot of physically intensive jobs, so a quality massage goes a long way. She did a nice job checking in with me about pressure and made sure I was doing alright throughout the appointment. The spa itself is clean, peaceful, and has a nice bathroom/shower facility. The prices are on par for a spa. Definitely would recommend.
Had a great time at the spa. Wonderful service and such a calm beautiful atmosphere. I did the steam, got a facial and a massage and could not be happier with everything.
Ok so.... I want to start off saying that the massage was SPECTACULAR. The 3-stars more reflects the experience as a whole.nnIve been to a few different massage spas so I do have at least one suggestion that I hope is taken into consideration by the folks who have influenece over this establishment; introducing essential oils would take the experience to a whole new level.nnMy boyfriend and I did the couples massage with the steam-room added on before hand. Giant heads up; the steam room experience was....intense. If you sit in the wrong place in the room, you WILL straight up get burned. The slippers they provide you will get soaked between the steam room and/or the shower. I wasnt sure whether they were intended to be worn the whole time or not (between the steam room and shower) because they'll get sopping if you take them into the shower...but as a residual effect from college, hygiene states that public-type showers should only be used using slippers to protect yourself from things like foot fungus being spread. Two times essential oils wouldve been amazing here; 1) in the steam room itself (like eucalyptus or something mint) to help with the intensity of the heat experience your body feels and 2) something like...lavender face towels that sit in ice water (or wet ice towels sitting in lavender water) Idk...something of a reprieve for your senses to come down from the intense heat. Plus, the ice closes your pores after having them be opened due to the heat...nAdditionally, the slippers in question were SO slippery walking from the shower to the steam-room....like, a serious falling hazard.nnAfter that, we had the massage, which was amazing. But every other place ive ever been to let's folks pick from about 5 essential oils before the massage to make the experience that much better, that much more personalized. (And the previous massages WERE Swedish massages as well).nnSo....given the couples massage is easily over $300 (including tip), I would hope these suggestions are taken into account. ud83eudd37 all in all, in the end, of course we were happy with the experience. There were just a couple things that wouldve made it better; next time we're in town, I'm not sure that getting a massage will be as pertinant as it was this last time since we know what all will, and wont, be included.
We did a couples massage, they were very flexible on booking different massages for each of us and just scheduling them together. Especially important right now as I'm pregnant. The facilities were very nice, and this may seem like a minor detail, but the pillows and sheets were extremely comfortable (especially important for a pregnancy massage!). Our therapists were both excellent. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.
First massage I've had but was amazing! Would definitely go again! We did a swedish couples massage and couldn't be happier!
