Had great help today from the Monroe police department following a lead on my stolen purse and phone. Thankful for their taking the time to listen and help with my case.

Currently watching as an officer gives a young man who decided to spend his Saturday in the gym instead of out smoking dope a ticket for parking in the parking lot wrong. I understand rules are put in place and need to be followed but there are 100% better things this officer could be attending to in the city of Monroe than patrolling a parking lot.

I received a ticket from them and I can not seem to ever get someone to answer the phones. I’ve called several times over the last couple of days. Anytime I go up there the officers are rude and not very helpful. I’ve spoke to a few people from Walton co and it’s not just me. They are rude and unhelpful no matter who is asking for help regardless of the topic. Small town cliches going. Do better to help the civilians that pay your checks. Badge means nothing unless your actually dedicated to helping the public.
