Took my daughter for two long braids today. First time going here. We had a great experience. Will definitely be back.

Worst braid shop EVER! I set an appointment and they were pretty good at starting my hair near the scheduled time but that is the only nice thing I can say. I get my hair braided often and have never had the issues that I encountered here.nnFor starters I show the stylist a picture of how I wanted my hair however she thought it would be best to do my hair how she wanted. The braids were 2 times bigger then I asked and there was no definitive part in the front of my hair as I requested. While she was braiding I informed her of this and she tried to explain that when she when gets finished it would be exactly what I wanted....SHE WAS WRONG. Everything that I told her I didn't want she did it.nnSo I insisted that someone else redo my hair the I want it or I wanted my $200 back. She immediately informed me that she would not return my money, so I said, then who's redoing my hair and everyone got quiet; that's when I said my next option is to call the police and file a report that's when they agreed to take down and redo my hair.nnI went back for them to redo my hair and before showing up I called to confirm the appointment and ensure we had an understanding that I would not be paying anything including hair, she got quite again so I bought my own hair to avoid any misunderstandings. This time it went a lot better and the stylist ensured I like the braid size however she did not put a definitive part in the front either so it really does look like a wig from the front but at least the braids were right so I was okay. However this stylist lets me know that she usually charges a lot more than $200 for this style so she would like for me to tip her $40.....WHAT, ARE YOU SERIOUS......I politely said thank you and informed her I would tip her what I wanted to tip her the next day so I did, but NEVER AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE SHOULD GET THERE HAIR BRAIDED THERE.

I called in to make an appointment the day before. When I got there at 9 am, I didn't get into the chair til 3:45. I, already having experience getting my hair braided,knew I would be there til night fall. Although, I did not expect to be there til 1 am. The braids them selves look comically long ,even though I asked for shoulder length. It feels like an unnecessarily amount of weave on my scalp. Also I expected it to be tight but I'm practically immobile.. my edges are suffering and i feel like I'm wearing a heavy helmet or wig..which is also unhealthy for my hair. Do not go . I don't recommend.

$10 a braid is ridiculous. They try to part wrong to force you to get an extra braid for more money. They also want to charge you hair store prices for hair that clients forgot in the salon. There's a weird smell, and it looks like people live there.
