I had ordered a Stihl during the holliday rush in 2018 some balls were dropped but considering how busy they were and under resourced it was a good overall experience. I also ordered extra parts later and don't remember having any issues at all. Unfortunately buying Stihl online cost more so we don't have much of a choice but to go retail.
Buyer beware!!!nI bought a Stihl 131 pole saw from this store. We took the saw to a job just to find out the shaft wouldn’t tighten down so when you pulled the throttle the shaft would turn in your hand. Obviously, we were on a job and made the 4 cuts to get through the job. I took the saw back to ace hardware, they had to send it to another ace hardware. 3 weeks later I get the saw back with the same issue. I take the saw back again, a week later I get it back and was told this is the last time they would fix the saw under warranty. On top of all of that I was charged $25 for a diagnosis fee. The manager at the store told me it is what it is and that’s where they stand. I own a tree service and will never spend another dime with ace hardware or stihl again.
