Very surprised how interesting the Reactor tour was!! WWII history is all over this place, and how the USA was able to develop nuclear technology so fast. The Story about how the plutonium got from here to Los Alamos is very interesting. The secrecy was amazing.

We were a few days too early for a tour but the Visitors Station had a descriptive overview of the reactor and a very informative former tour guide who gave us a tour without the trip and saw a 12 minute video on the reactor. Thanks!!

My family and I went on the 4 hr free tour that they offered to the reactor and was really impressed by the knowledge that the volunteer guides had. I really enjoyed this national historical park and highly recommend visiting the site. It is well worth the detour

Amazing! The volunteers do a great job explaining the reactor and the historical significance. It is amazing to think the US helped end a world war with such (lack of) technology. The fact they could create and sustain a nuclear reaction without computers! Even a calculator! As an engineer, this was the coolest thing ever.
