This is a wonderful school. My girls have attended Vernon Elem. For 2 years. Wonderful staff who actually care && awesome teachers. We just recently moved out of the county and no other school compares to Vernon so far. I will always recommend Vernon Elem to anyone in that school district.

This school is very unproffesional when it comes to communication with parents,and..following important policies and procedures.The Principle is Great with the kids..and fair..But the 5th grade staff could use some training in Child managment due to Behavioral flare ups and use of observational moments.Seems they miss alot of teachable moments.And when issues arise..they dont like to listen to both sides of a story and pick favorites.and just send them off to the office.

The principal of this school beats young people with a wooden board. Violence is what is being taught in this school district, and at this school. Nearly 10 percent of all students are hit by paid public school employees. How are these people that do this authorized or certified to hit human beings? Where else could those that do this work in the USA without being arrested and incarcerated for assault and battery? Disgusting that he does not know how to educate without hitting people.

This is a great school!! I have 2 children attending now and one who has moved to VMS. Unlike Joe Maxwell, we find it important here in Vernon to give proper discipline to our children and train them up as the Lord has said. These teachers and staff do a great job and are very loving to our children. And when our children get out of line they should be punished properly with a good old fashion butt whoopin. Keep up the good work and Thanks for all you do......
